Slack — Integration

Overview

Create tasks from messages, get channel/DM notifications, and act on tasks (assign, snooze, complete) without leaving Slack.

Capabilities

• Slash commands: /task create, /task assign, /task me, /task find

• Message actions: “Create ActionDesk Task” from any message

• Rich unfurls for task links (status, priority, due date, assignee)

• Interactive buttons: Complete, Snooze, Assign, Add comment

• Channel routing rules for notifications by project/queue/tag

• User-level digests (morning brief + overdue) in DMs

• Enterprise Grid compatible; per-workspace routing

   In ActionDesk → Settings → Integrations → Slack, click **Connect Slack Workspace**.

   Approve the OAuth scopes in Slack (chat:write, commands, links:read, links:write, users:read, channels:read).

Limitations

• Slack free plans limit message retention and search depth.

• Interactive actions require ActionDesk to receive Slack callbacks (public HTTPS).

• API rate limits apply; bursty notifications are batched/throttled.
