AccessGuard — Integration

Overview

Use a compatible identity provider such as AccessGuard for the implemented identity.user.bundle, identity.customerIdentity.bundle, identity.customerIdentity.bulkResolve, identity.user.suggest, identity.user.get, identity.user.create, and identity.profile.bundle operations used by HomeBridge.

Capabilities

• Resolve customer identity bundles while HomeBridge keeps customer-property references in its journey records

• Retrieve user and profile bundles for customer-property workflows

• Search and suggest users during staff workflows

• Create customer identity records through the authorized identity-provider operation

• Use provider capability probing and explicit authorization before activation

   Open HomeBridge Settings → Integrations and select the Identity and Profiles provider role.

   Discover compatible installed Handler apps and select AccessGuard when it is the workspace identity provider.

Limitations

• Identity resolution depends on an active provider binding for the workspace.

• The provider must advertise the identity operations required by HomeBridge.

• Provider authorization must grant HomeBridge access to the selected identity operations.
