Setup Steps (4)

    Step 1

    Create or provide a Google service account JSON key.

    In Velaxe, upload the key and select folders/drives to index.

    Map folder→tag/locale rules and run the initial crawl.

    Enable scheduled re-index to keep content fresh.

Limitations

  • Files requiring interactive auth cannot be fetched by the service account.

  • Very large PDFs may be truncated to keep search fast.

FAQs

Are permissions respected?

Yes. We only index files the service account can access, and KB visibility still follows RBAC.

Do we store copies?

We store converted text and thumbnails for search; originals remain in Drive.
